Tsukasa Atsumi is an average salaryman leading a normal, lonely life. On his way home from work one evening, he is attacked by a demon and saved by a beautiful woman dressed like a kunoichi.
After introducing herself as Shizuri Ideura, she states that people like Tsukasa who have samurai blood in their veins have always been a target for demon attacks, and her clan of kunoichi have been responsible for secretly protecting them for generations.
After she tells him that the attacks will become more frequent, he offers to shelter her in return for the protection she provides. Unfortunately, he soon discovers that Shizuri is not actually kept very busy with her duties and lives like a shut-in otaku.
