Miko Kurono is a livestreamer working under the name Necronomico. While she isn’t exactly popular, she was happy living her life with her childhood friend and fellow streamer, Mayu.
However, when Mayu mysteriously falls into a coma during her own livestream, Miko is desperate to help cover her medical bills. So desperate she accepts a shady sounding invitation that gathered a variety of different streamers together to play a VR game.
Inside the VR space, she discovers that the VR game isn’t a game at all. It is a space filled with Lovecraftian old gods, and one of them is wearing her friend Mayu’s face. Forced to play games where the penalty for losing is to lose your mind and fall into a coma, Miko struggles to save more than just herself.
It takes a minute to manifest, but this kind of slaps, actually. If you are looking for more anime recommendations like Necronomico and the Cosmic Horror Show, head on down below.
