One day, a mysterious switch appeared, and if they press it, these isekai characters were transported to yet another alternative world!
Obviously, if you watched this show, you liked at least some of the shows represented by the characters. So this anime recommendation list for Isekai Quartet will not include those, but we got things like it.
Anime Like Isekai Quartet
For Fans of Parodies
Pop Team Epic
Popuko is small and quick to anger. Pipiumi is tall and serene. Together these two high school girls swear like sailors and get up to all sorts of insane and meta activities.
While more high energy, like Isekai Quartet, Pop Team Epic throws a lot of references at you, but does so with rapid speed. Unlike Isekai Quartet, however, there is less focus on the characters since they are essentially blank slates on which to do parody.
Gintama
After aliens invade Japan, they put a prohibition on swords. However, Gintoki Sakata still possesses the heart of a samurai. Taking on odd jobs alongside of his friends, Gintama follows Gintoki during his chaotic life as an errand boy.
Gintama loves to throw anime references around, but it also has a pretty good plot that can be quite serious at time. Isekai Quartet doesn’t have much of a plot, but like Gintama it is fun to watch the characters interact.
Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi
Arumi and Sasshi have been friends since they were children, both living in the waning Abenobashi Commercial District of Osaka. However, things are changing in Abenobashi, due in no small part to the area being slowly being bought out to build a mega-mall. One day, after an accident, the two friends find that Abenobashi has really changed – into a medieval RPG world, a dating sim game, a space opera, or a film noir movie. It is one wacky adventure after the next as Abenobashi takes on the form of Sasshi’s otaku interests.
This show is probably the most similar of the parodies to Isekai Quartet. You watch the characters in it go to different parody worlds and see the anime references within. It is a pretty amazing watch, and technically an isekai series itself.
Mr. Osomatsu
In the Matsuno household, there are six identical siblings – the self-centered Osomatsu, the manly Karamatsu, the reasonable Choromatsu, the cynical Ichimatsu, the hyper Juushimatsu, and the cute Todomatsu. Despite all being adults, they all live as NEETS. This is their journey of trying to become proper adults.
Newer than many of the other series, you are more likely to get newer anime parody in Mr. Osomatsu. Like Iekai Quartet, you will also find a pretty absent plot as it likes to just focus on comedy.
For Fans of Chibi Style
CB Chara Go Nagai World
A chibi series that parodies the various works and world of Go Nagai. Mazinger, Devilman, and Violence Jack all crash together.
Koro Sensei Q
A series that follows the characters in Assassin Classroom placed in to a more medieval fantasy world and told to go forward and defeat the Demon King Koro-Sensei
Attack on Titan Junior High
It’s Attack on Titan, but all the characters are in Junior High.
Rock Lee and His Ninja Pals
A chibi series that follows Rock Lee and his shenanigans rather than Naruto and his drama.
