Anime Like Blue Miburo

Growing up as an orphan, Nio Chirinu spends his days working at the restaurant of an old woman who took him in with his sister Iroha. However, Nio and his sister don’t realize that they are being watched by two men. When they are targeted by child abductors, Nio learns that they were being used as bait by Toshizou Hijikata and Souji Okita—two members of an infamous ronin group called Miburo, a group that history would better remember as the Shinsengumi.

Impressed by Nio during the ordeal, Hijikata proposes that Nio join the Miburo and help them on their quest to keep the streets of Kyoto safe.

It is about time that the Shinsengumi had a proper anime. It’s just a shame that it is more talking than swordplay. If you are looking for more anime recommendations like Blue Miburo, head on down below.
