After dying of an illness, Machio Hiraku is given the opportunity to reincarnate into another world.
The god grants him a healthy body and his wish to live peacefully. Machio also asks if he can have a talent for agriculture in hopes that he can live a more fulfilling life.
The god grants him all this as well as the ability to summon a farming tool that can turn into any agricultural tool he needs, including one that makes any seeds he can think of.
Machio is sent to the middle of a forest full of dangerous creatures. Without any civilization in sight, he makes his own small farm that slowly accumulates residents that wander the woods.
Like Campfire Cooking in Another World is about cooking, Farming Life in Another World is about farming. In both series, the main character takes their non-battle skills and starts a business or a village where they live out a rather happy life.
There isn’t much action in either series. It is mostly just an isekai’d guy and his fantasy friends living a nice life. It is peak wholesome isekai, though Farming Life in Another World is pretty unabashedly harem.
Kemono Michi
Shibata Genzo is both a professional wrestler and an animal lover. One day, he is summoned to another world by a princess. She makes the mistake of asking him to rid her kingdom of these evil beasts.
Instead of doing that, Genzo suplexes her and heads off to start a monster pet shop.
In a very similar way, both Kemono Michi and Campfire Cooking in Another World has heroes summoned to another world. These main characters swiftly leave the royalty that summoned them to go start a business. In Campfire Cooking in Another World, he ends up cooking for people, in Kemono Michi, he ends up starting a fantasy creature pet shop.
While Campfire Cooking in Another World has its comical moments, Kemono Michi is more often dedicated to being a comedy than it is a slice of life show.
Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement
After accidentally falling off a cliff, Mitsuha wakes up in a fantasy land.
After saving a girl from a wolf attack, she discovers that she didn’t die in her previous life, but rather accidentally ripped away a piece of a God’s power that lets her transport herself between that world and modern Japan.
With this magnificent power, she decides to take items from modern Japan to sell in the fantasy world. She has calculated that making 80,000 gold in the fantasy land will be enough to retire if she were to get trapped in either world forever.
Now begins her money-making schemes!
Both Campfire Cooking in Another World and Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement are about isekai’d protagonists that don’t actually have good combat abilities.
In Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement, she can travel back and forth between her world and the fantasy world so she has a distinct advantage of being able to bring a gun to a sword fight. This means she doesn’t need a creature like Fel to do her fighting, but she doesn’t do much fighting anyway.
Like Campfire Cooking in Another World, Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement is more about running a business than fighting creatures and saving the world.

Beast Tamer
Rein is a beast tamer and member of the Hero’s Party. However, because beast taming is rather weak magic, he is used as more of a errand boy for them instead.
That all changes when they finally fire him and he is set adrift. Kicked out of the party, he ends up meeting a girl from one of the strongest species of beast people and tames her.
Together, they become magnificent adventurers while the Hero’s Party begins to realize that their previous success was all due to Rein’s support.
While Beast Tamer and Campfire Cooking in Another World follow different plots, they share the fact that they start with main characters who are actually quite powerful in unique, low-key ways. It is this power that allows them to tame a creature that is considered untamable by everyone else.
However, Beast Tamer becomes a harem as he continues to tame a series of untamable beast girls through the power of being a nice young man. Beast Tamer also has moments of action, though it is his harem that battles for him much like Fel in Campfire Cooking in Another World.
Black Summoner
After an accident, a man is killed and the Goddess of Reincarnation is tasked with reincarnating him. In this afterlife, he charms the goddess, gaining the rare class of summoner, and the ability to contract her as a summon in exchange for memories of his past life.
Now thrust into a fantasy world as Kelvin, he hides his ultra-rare class to maintain his freedom in order to go on grand adventures and form pacts with powerful foes.
Both Black Summoner and Campfire Cooking in Another World are isekai anime that give heroes a rather uncommon power. However, Black Summoner, being about a summoner, is a more battle-oriented class.
Regardless, both series feature a main character that is able to charm someone incredibly powerful to be under their control as a familiar. It is just that Kelvin isn’t charming any of his summons with his cooking skills.
