One normal day, our protagonist has turned into a dog and was picked up by his school crush, Inukai.
Always being quite fond of dogs, she dotes on the little puppy.
While he someday hopes to return to being human, this dog is also starting to see the charms of living a dog’s life with a beautiful high school girl.
Wow. I’m not here to shame fetishes, but… Wow. Anyway, if you are looking for more anime recommendations like My Life as Inukai’s Dog, head on down below.
Anime Like My Life as Inukai’s Dog
For Fans of POV Anime
Dogeza: I Tried Asking While Kowtowing
Suwaru Doge has figured out something that most people have too much pride to accept – if you grovel, you can get whatever you want.
Embracing the power of the dogeza stance, he targets his school’s cutest girls in an effort to behold their naked bodies.
While Inukai and her friends kind of give it away for free because they believe Pochita to actually be a dog and not a boy in the body of a dog, other POV anime protagonists must do what they can for every scrap of nudity.
In Dogeza, he abandons all shreds of self-respect, but does indeed reach the goal. So I guess that is all that matters?
I Want You To Show Me Your Panties With a Disgusted Face
Every man wishes to see panties, but such results are often difficult to achieve. The moment when a girl shows her panties is when she is the most vulnerable, so simply asking would be ridiculous, wouldn’t it?
Both My Life as Inukai’s Dog and I Want You To Show Me Your Panties With a Disgusted Face are first-person POV anime that appeal to one specific sort of kink. It is just one of these shows is more super specific than the other.
For Fans of Animals With Conscious Thought
Dog and Scissors
Bookish high school boy Harumi is a big fan of novelist Natsuno Kirihime. One day, he finds her writing in a cafe, but about to be shot by a robber. He takes the bullet and dies, only to be reincarnated as a dachshund.
As he suffers a bookless life, he happens across a woman with scissors who offers to help him. It turns out to be none other than Natsuno Kirihime herself.
If My Life as Inukai’s Dog wasn’t specifically trying to be a POV ecchi anime, it would be a lot like Dog and Scissors.
Dog and Scissors features a main character who is put into the body of a dog and lives with his crush. He then tries to solve the mystery of why that happened.
Interestingly enough, both anime series also have a fair bit of animal abuse used for comedy, but it is animal abuse of different types.
Oda Cinnamon Nobunaga
Historically, Oda Nobunaga perished at Honnouji.
However, what you didn’t know is that he was reincarnated into the modern day as a Shiba dog named Cinnamon. He is eventually joined by other famous samurai who met the same fate in reincarnation.
Both My Life as Inukai’s Dog and Oda Cinnamon Nobunaga follow the lives of men who have been turned into dogs.
While both comedy anime, they are of a different sort. Oda Cinnamon Nobunaga is more your standard wholesome comedy compared to My Life as Inukai’s Dog and its ecchi comedy.
My Roommate is a Cat
Subaru is a novelist, and not very good with people. He’s been alone since his parent’s death, but one day while praying at their grave, a cat comes and eats his offering.
Deciding to take it home, he now is shouldered with a cat, and this stray is shouldered with caring for a human who can barely care for himself.
My Roommate is a Cat is a bit different from My Life as Inukai’s Dog, and not just because it is about a different animal.
The main character focus in My Roommate is a Cat is split between a stray cat and a guy who picks her up and keeps her as a pet. So the cat was never human like Pochita in My Life as Inukai’s Dog. However, you do get to hear her inner thoughts.
Whereas My Life as Inukai’s Dog was quite lewd, My Roommate is a Cat is actually rather wholesome.
For Fans of Fetish Anime
Miru Tights
Amidst the cherry blossoms and rain showers of spring, three girls start a new new school year. They deepen their friendship with laughter, happiness, and struggles – all the while doing so in silky nylon tights.
My Life as Inukai’s Dog is clearly aiming at people with a specific fetish, and Miru Tights is the same.
Both anime have a strong dedication to certain angles that really highlight the parts they think you want to see.
My Life After I Became a Dummy Head Mic One Morning
After being reincarnated into a dummy head microphone, the protagonist finds that he is used by a group of high school girls in an ASMR club. He endures their shenanigans as they aim for the ASMR Koshien tournament.
If nothing else, both shows are about boys who suddenly get put in the form of something that is not human randomly one day.
You experience the world through their perspective, and the object they are put in just happens to be part of a kink.
Tawawa on Monday
Oniisan is a standard salaryman. However, every Monday he ends up protecting student Ai-chan on the Monday morning train commute from gropers.
Though their time together is short, they begin to learn to know more about each other. She also goes to great lengths to remove his Monday morning blues as a way of saying thanks.
What My Life as Inukai’s Dog is to being uncomfortably affectionate with a dog, Tawawa on Monday is to being overly affectionate with big-busted women.
These ecchi anime series know what you want and give it to you with little else getting in the way.
