Sumireko Ogawa is a bookstore clerk who, despite celebrating some literary success in high school, has been unable to produce any more quality writing in her 20s. However, after she gets caught up in a string of mysterious events happening in the city, she gained the ability to transform into a child, which has finally spurred her creativity.

Helped by her flirty young co-worker, Ren Adashino, with her mysterious condition, she starts to help him investigate the other mysterious occurrences happening in the city. However, Ren has a mysterious secret of his own.

Keitarou Gentouga is a college student who hates ghosts. Unfortunately, spirits have always been unnaturally attracted to him, so much so that he was previously a shut-in after causing his childhood friend, Eiko Houzuki, and himself to get cursed by a spirit.
