At Japan’s middle school cheerleading nationals, Kanata Misora played a crucial role in securing victory with her squad. Excited to try to rise to even greater heights, she and her friend Megumi Kaionji joined Takanozaki Prefectural High School together in order to join their talented cheer squad.

However, after an incident at a competition, Misora finds herself dodging practice.

After a clandestine meeting with an internet parkour star that goes to her school leads to meeting several other girls, Misora and the girls form a more relaxed cheer squad, the PomPoms, who help others find strength by cheering them on. In doing so, six girls find strength of their own.
