Anime Like Narenare – Cheer for You!

At Japan’s middle school cheerleading nationals, Kanata Misora played a crucial role in securing victory with her squad. Excited to try to rise to even greater heights, she and her friend Megumi Kaionji joined Takanozaki Prefectural High School together in order to join their talented cheer squad.

However, after an incident at a competition, Misora finds herself dodging practice.

After a clandestine meeting with an internet parkour star that goes to her school leads to meeting several other girls, Misora and the girls form a more relaxed cheer squad, the PomPoms, who help others find strength by cheering them on. In doing so, six girls find strength of their own.

Kotone Hatoya’s most beloved trait is also her biggest flaw. Since she was a child, she has always loved to help others no matter how far she had to go in order to do it.

Naturally, when she discovers cheerleading, Kotone is captivated by it. However, while she ropes her best friend Uki Sawatari into helping her create a cheer squad, there is one major problem. Neither of them know what to do.

From uniforms to performances, the pair know nothing about cheerleading. In order to continue chasing her dream, Kotone drags in Hizume Arima, a former cheerleader who has hoped to leave the sport behind.

Disheartened by judo and ultimately using a shoulder injury as an excuse to quit, college student Haruki Bando is invited by his childhood friend to join an unprecedented all-male cheer team called the Breakers.

Together, they start to make history in this previously predominantly female sport.

After the Fourth Industrial Revolution, cutting edge technologies have taken over and the old way of doing things is left in the dust. For childhood friends Serufu Yua and Miku Suride, they both applied to the elite Yuyu Girls’ Vocational High School that excels in teaching new technology.

However, due to her grades, care-free accident-magnet Yua could only get into the neighboring Gatagata Girls’ High School.

After getting into an bike accident, Yua has a run in with a passerby who fixes her bike effortlessly and later finds out that she is a member of the Do It Yourself Club. With the club in danger of shutting down due to a lack of members and becoming enchanted by the old way of fixing and building things, Yua hopes to gather new friendships and build new crafts by joining it.

Upon discovering an old list she made in the last year of middle school, Mari Tamaki, who is now in her second year of high school, realizes she is not making the most of her youth. Whenever she tries to do something new, she is paralyzed with inaction.

Then one day she meets Shirase, a girl who’s mother went missing when she was in middle school on an expedition to Antarctica.

Knowing full well it is close to impossible, she works hard in order to go to search for her mother and invites Mari along for the ride.

Having social anxiety but still wishing to make friends, Hitori Gotou started learning the guitar to help lure people into talking to her. Years later, she has amassed great guitar skills, but is in high school with still no friends.

One day, she happens to meet an outgoing girl who just so happens to need a guitarist for her band. Gaining the nickname Bocchi, Hitori is recruited in and puts her heart into improving her stage skills to make the band a success.

Naru Seikya is chronically average at everything. She hopes high school will change that, but alas, she has had no luck.

However, one day she meets a girl dancing atop a shrine, she assumes her to be a fairy, but really she is just a normal girl too. Transferring from America, this oddball named Hana became enamored with the yosakoi type of dance and seeks to start a club about it.

Upon entering high school, Yui is immediately entranced by the Light Music Club. The problem is, she can’t play an instrument.

Deciding to join the club anyway, the other club members, despite disappointment in her lack of musical knowledge, allow her to join to prevent the club’s disbandment.

Today begins Yui’s musical education!

On par with conventional medicine, vocal medicine is the practice of using songs to treat conditions and injuries. This has driven young people around the world to hone their voices to help.

Among those people, Kana Fujii is a naturally talented singer who is pursuing vocal medicine as a profession. Along with Reimi Itsuhiro and Hibiki Morishima, she trains at Karasuma Phoniatric Clinic under their stern, but kind mentor.

After moving, Nadeshiko decides to go see Mount Fuji. She manages to bike pretty far, but has to turn back because of the weather and ends up fainting.

When she wakes up, she finds herself somewhere she has never been and no way to find her way back. It is in this wilderness where she is saved by Rin, a girl who was out camping by herself.
