Anime Like Ninja Kamui

Since ancient times, the ninja have assassinated enemies from the shadows for the sake of Japan’s security and stability. In modern times, it was decided that the ninja would branch out to international operations and welcome others from outside the country into their organization.

Higan, a ninja who once had the potential to rise into leadership, disagreed with this. His disagreement as well as falling in love with a female peer in breach of ninja law forced him and his lover to flee execution. Eventually, going into hiding in rural America, Higan lives happily with his wife and young son until ninja assassins track them down and rip his happy life away.

Fueled by his need for revenge, Higan pits his honed ancient skills against the modern high-tech weaponry that the ninja have now adopted as he cuts his way to the top of the organization.

Existing since ancient times, ninjas have always worked in the shadows for Japan. Kuro is one of many ninjas who are left unemployed due an over-saturation of ninja and a lower demand for their skills. However, one day he receives his orders to infiltrate a high school and finds himself increasingly wrapped up in the growing intrigue.
