Rokudo and his friends discover that now every time a delinquent girl sees him, she immediately falls in love with him. In an effort to have the nice school life of his dreams, Rokudo uses this to try and shows these girls the charm of living a happy, peaceful school life with friends.

If you are going to be unique, be unique in everything you do. This series kind of lives by that motto, and it makes it almost unintentionally amazing. If you are looking for more anime recommendations like Rokudo’s Bad Girls, head on down below.

For Fans of Delinquents

beelzebub anime

Beelzebub

Ishiyama High is a school full of delinquents, but they have one rule – don’t cross Tatsumi Oga, the strongest fighter in school.

One day, Oga is sitting by a riverbank when he encounters a floating man that splits down the middle to reveal a baby inside. This baby turns out to be Kaiser de Emperana Beelzebub IV, the son of the Demon Lord.

It turns out raising the future lord of the underworld is more trouble than you’d think.

Both Beelzebub and Rokudo’s Bad Girls take place in worlds that are absolutely awash in delinquents. Practically everyone is a delinquent in the show. Furthermore, both series are based around supernatural events that happen to delinquents.

Instead of having all the bad girls fall in love with him, the main character in Beelzebub is a delinquent that ends up taking care of a baby demon lord. So both series have those elements of wholesomeness, but they are distinctly different types.

tokyo revengers anime

Tokyo Revengers

For Takemichi Hanagaki, his second year of middle school was when he peaked. He had a small amount of respect as a thug, a loyal group of friends, and even a girlfriend.

Fast forward twelve years later, and he is a single adult that can’t hold down a job. He has even found out that his middle school girlfriend was murdered by the vicious Tokyo Manji Gang.

After an accident, he finds himself back in middle school and discovers that he can travel back and forth in time in order to help change his past and his future.

If you enjoyed Rokudo’s Bad Girls not so much for the variety of brainwashed bad girls, but more so for the variety of actual delinquents, then Tokyo Revengers is for you. The series also has a supernatural element in that the main character is able to travel back in time, but Tokyo Revengers isn’t quite as wholesome with its plot.

While Rokudo’s Bad Girls tries to stress that school can be fun for everyone and being a violent delinquent isn’t a good thing to be, Tokyo Revengers sort of glorifies delinquency and teen gangs by making them stylish, cool, and emphasizing the fraternity of it.

cromartie high school anime

Cromartie High School

Takashi Kamiyama is your typical mild-mannered high school student. However, instead of living a boring normal life, he enrolls at infamous Cromartie High School, a school known for breeding thugs.

It is this decision that sees the end of his normal high school days.

Rokudo’s Bad Girls isn’t necessarily a comedy show, but with the way the characters are designed, it can be hard to tell if it is trying to be silly or it just ends up that way. Cromarite High School, on the other hand, is very clear that it is trying to be silly.

Both series are all about schools that are bursting with delinquents, and a main character that shakes that up. However, Cromartie High School is a clear parody of the macho delinquent school motif.

great teacher onizuka anime

Great Teacher Onizuka

After becoming reformed from his rough and tumble past as a motorcycle gang leader, Onizuka is looking for a new ambition in life.

After witnessing a hot girl falling for her ugly teacher, he decides to become a teacher himself. However, instead of hot girls draping themselves all over him, he just has a group of problem students that the school administration had all but given up on.

Although the great story of Great Teacher Onizuka suffers terribly due to its age and its anime never looking all that good to begin with, it is definitely a series to consider if you enjoyed Rokudo’s Bad Girls and that message that the series was trying to convey.

Both Great Teacher Onizuka and Rokudo’s Bad Girls take place in high school and are focused on the drama of less well-behaved students. However, while everyone is a delinquent in Rokudo’s Bad Girls, Great Teacher Onizuka has a the titular teacher being an ex-motorcycle gang leader and his students are just kids that became problematic after being betrayed by their previous teacher.

While Rokudo’s Bad Girls is a bit more subtle about the message, both series are about the main characters helping and reforming characters so that they can enjoy their school life.

Kumiko from the Gokusen anime smirking

Gokusen

Kumiko Yamaguchi is smart, energetic, and starting her dream job as a teacher at Shirokiun Academy. Unfortunately, she soon learns that her class in this all-boys school is a cesspool of the worst delinquents in school.

However, young Kumiko has a secret weapon, she is the heir apparent of a yakuza clan and knows how to handle rough men.

Capable of both overpowering these thugs and getting them to listen, she is ready to change the lives of her students.

While Gokusen has a plot extremely similar to Great Teacher Onizuka and an art style that is somehow worse, it also follows a main character that tries to reform delinquents like Rokudo’s Bad Girls.

Both series follow main characters that end up surrounded by delinquents. They help them with their individual problems and earn their affection and loyalty.

However, while Rokudo’s Bad Girls is about a male main character and his harem of magically brainwashed girls, Gokusen is about a tough female teacher and the male delinquents she helps and who come to respect her.

For Fans of Tough But Vulnerable Girls

okami and her seven companions anime

Okami-san and Her Seven Companions

Tomboyish Okami and her best friend Ringo are part of the Otogi Bank, a club that assists students with problems in return for assistance later on.

Admiring Okami from afar is Ryoushi, a boy who can’t stand being looked at. After failing to confess to Okami, Ryoushi ends up inadvertently joining Otogi Bank.

While Ryoushi hopes to win over Okami’s affections, she wants someone who will have her back in a fight, and Ryoushi can’t even stand being looked at, much less fight.

While Rokudo’s Bad Girls is, in part, about Rokudo and his crew taming delinquents and Okami-san and Her Seven Companions is all about a club that helps people and on occasion has to tame some troublemakers, they differ in tone. Both series have their serious moments, but Rokudo’s Bad Girls is more focused on the action of things while Okami-san and Her Seven Companions is more about the drama and a sort of romantic relationship that is building up.

What Rokudo’s Bad Girls and Okami-san and Her Seven Companions most have in common is they feature very strong female character in Okami and Ranna, but they also go out of their way to show the cute vulnerable sides of these tough girls. Both girls are very tough, but you get to see that cute side when they start to fall in love.

witchcraft works anime

Witch Craft Works

Honoka Takamiya has the misfortune of being seated next to their school’s idol, Ayaka Kagari, and is constantly pestered by the swarm of students that surround her.

However, one day when he is randomly attacked by a mysterious witch, Ayaka saves him and reveals herself to be a covert witch that was charged with protecting him.

Suddenly, his normal life becomes flipped upside down as he learns that others wish to steal a power within him.

Did you enjoy Rokudo’s Bad Girls for those times when Ranna was defending Rokudo like a frothy-mouthed mad dog? Then perhaps you should try Witch Craft Works where a large, powerful woman defends a boy, not quite with the same ferocity as Ranna, but with the same sort of stalker-like diligence.

While Witch Craft Works is more about witches than delinquents, both Rokudo’s Bad Girl and Witch Craft Works are about a main character that people tend to target, but they have strong women there to protect them.

tenjo tenge anime

Tenjho Tenge

A new school can mean a fresh new start. For Nagi and Bob, their new start means a new school to take over. However, this one will be a tough one.

Touhou Academy is no ordinary school, but one that was created for the sole purpose of reviving the martial arts in Japan. This means every student is a rival to stand in their way.

Both Rokudo’s Bad Girls and Tenjho Tenge take place in school full of thugs that will fight about literally anything. However, while Rokudo’s Bad Girls is actually trying to show the delinquents in the series that there is a better way, Tenjho Tenge goes the opposite direction and fully leans into thugs fighting each other.

Both series have a sort of shounen vibe to them where it is about characters wandering from one antagonist to the next, but Tenjho Tenge is less wholesome and more about the occasionally lewd fights.

For Fans of Magic-Laced Harems

yamada and the seven witches anime

Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches

Ryuu Yamada used to be a thug, but he wanted to change his reputation in high school. He went to a school where no one knew him, but by second year he was so bored that he became a slacker again.

One day while on his way to the office, he trips and accidentally kisses a beautiful honor student. In a flash, they switch bodies and Ryuu is soon thrust into the world of school legends where seven beautiful witches can have their supernatural abilities awakened by kissing.

Both Rokudo’s Bad Girls and Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches are both school anime that follow a main character with a unique magical ability that leads to him gathering a harem. However, there are some difference in the details.

In Rokudo’s Bad Girls, Rokudo is a nice guy in a sea of delinquents whose magical ability makes bad girls fall for him. In Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches, Yamada is a delinquent whose magical ability essentially awakens the magical ability of seven witches that attend his school, which often join his harem after their arc.

Both series are sort of comedic and have a romantic element, but Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches does feel more like a traditional harem rom-com compared to Rokudo’s Bad Girls.

rosario-vampire-anime

Rosario + Vampire

Due to his bad grades, Tsukune Aono was unable to get into any good high schools. However, at the last minute, he was accepted to Youkai Academy.

Unfortunately for him, it is a high school for werewolves, vampires, and other monsters.

With the help of a vampire and some other new girl friends that take a liking to him, Tsukune tries to hide his human status from his classmates.

While Rosario X Vampire is more traditionally supernatural compared to Rokudo’s Bad Girls, both series focus on main characters being normal and surrounded by others that are innately different from them. In Rokudo’s Bad Girls, Rokudo is surrounded by delinquents. In Rosario + Vampire, Tsukune is a human that attends a school for supernatural beings.

Both series are harem anime where there is a clear main girl and it often focuses on their interactions while the main character is also helping other girls that will eventually join his harem of friends/female protectors.

actually i am anime

Actually, I Am

Completely on accident, average boy Asahi Kuromine discovers that Youko, the girl he has a crush on, is actually a vampire.

According to her father’s rules, she must now quit school, but since Asahi doesn’t want her to go, he agrees to keep her secret.

However, it turns out she won’t be the only supernatural being entering his life.

While Rokudo’s Bad Girls has some magic at work, outside of that it isn’t a particularly supernatural. Actually, I Am is decidedly different in that it focuses on the supernatural that was hiding among the normalcy.

While both Rokudo’s Bad Girls and Actually, I Am are harem comedy anime with a few hints of romance, they both also put a bigger than usual emphasis on the comedy of things. Actually, I Am leans into jokes more while Rokudo’s Bad Girls is more (possibly unintentionally?) funny due to the art style and characters.
