When the Animal Liberation Alliance, an eco-terrorist organization, breaks into a government lab, they try to rescue a pregnant chimpanzee. When she gives birth, they discover that she was pregnant with a human-chimp hybrid named Charlie.
Adopted to a human family, fifteen years later, Humanzee Charlie’s parents are ready to let their son try attending a human school where he makes friends with a girl named Lucy. However, the Animal Liberation Alliance has become more radical over the years and seek to draw Charlie into their new terrorist plot.
