Born ugly, Shigeru Yoshioka still thrived as a salaryman until an incident forced him to become a shut-in. Hearing a rumor online that if you do a ritual at a certain time you’ll be sent to another world, he decides to try it.

When this unlocks a prompt to allocate stats, Shigeru messes around by setting his looks to -255 and making it so he can’t even so much as touch a woman. In return, he is given a godly level of stat points to allocate.

So begins this ugly mug’s adventure in another world as an epic fighter!

As he was ugly, fat, and disappointing, Yuuya has been the constant target for bullies. Even his parents and siblings treated him like an outcast. However, Yuuya’s grandfather was the only source of affection in his life, but he eventually passed away.

Being left his grandfather’s home, Yuuya discovers a strange door that opens to another world. Inside, he finds himself in the home of a sage and discovers a number of powerful weapons. Using these to defeat dangerous creatures in the surrounding forest, Yuuya discovers that he can level up, gain equipment, and even sell items upon leaving the world for real life currency.

After a day of adventure, Yuuya wakes up to discover that leveling up in the other world has leveled up his body in the real world too.

Haruka has always been a loner, but his happy life alone is upended when he is abruptly sent to another world with his high school class. Given the chance to allot skill points and pick abilities, Haruka, who was the last to pick, got stuck with a series of skills that no one else wanted.

In the new world, Haruka ends up alone, and prefers it that way. However, when he stumbles upon his classmates struggling to adjust to their new isekai lives, Haruka is constantly pulled away from his loner life to help his classmates on their adventures in another world.

Taichi Tanaka is a middle-aged office worker who enjoys playing video games in his free time. Upon the release of a new VRMMO called One More Free Life Online, he decides to give it a try.

In One More Free Life Online, the player is free to do as they like, and for Taichi – now logged in as a player named Earth – he decides to master skills that are deemed to be useless by the player community. However, the skills he picks turn out to be increasingly valuable to not just his character, but others as well.

After receiving an invitation from a friend, Kaede Honjou starts playing the VRMMO game New World Online as a character named Maple.

However, in her desire to not get hurt, she puts all her stats in Vitality. This makes her move very slowly, unable to use magic, and get attacked by even the smallest creatures. However, it does allow her impenetrable defense, and the gear she finds while wandering grants her a one-hit counter skill.

And so, her adventures begin.

Nikola is just a village girl working in ann inn when her life is upended by dragons attacking her village. During this attack, she meets Haga, a Seeker who manages to defeat the dragons even if he does it in an odd and not particularly heroic way.

However, despite clearing the dragons, Nikola and her whole village are wiped out because they were all just an event in the King’s Seeker Online VRMMMO, and the Seeker Haga was just one of several debuggers who were hired to debug the game and then trapped inside unable to log out.

While Nikola is revived, her character programming seems to malfunction allowing her to remember Haga and even to accompany him as he tries to find a way to log out of the game while resisting the allure of ultimate power from debug mode that so many of his peers have embraced for their own fun.
