Anime Like Zenshuu

After she saw A Tale of Perishing—an anime movie by an esteemed auteur—as a child, Natsuko Hirose wanted to be an animator. Not just an animator, but a genius animator. She honed her skill in her school years and made her debut to rave reviews.

However, Natsuko has hit a roadblock when she is tasked with directing a romantic comedy themed around first love. Having never experienced first love herself, Natsuko struggles with the concept, unable to create a storyboard acceptable to her high standards.

As she stresses over that, she is suddenly killed after eating bad clams. When she wakes up, she finds herself in her favorite childhood movie, A Tale of Perishing.

Just before finally realizing his fondest dream of committing double suicide with the woman he loved, 20th-century author and gloomy legend of Japanese literature Osamu Dazai is hit by a truck and transported to another world.

However, instead of a pleasant life full of hope and adventure, Dazai is most interested in finding a poetic way to meet his end. Unfortunately for him, his demise is often thwarted by, if not his companions, then the poison that runs through his body. So begins the hilarious tragedy of how Osamu Dazai saved another world from villains and rampaging isekai heroes.

Sota Mizushino is a high schooler and avid anime fan that dreams of writing his own light novel. While watching a new anime for inspiration, he is dragged into the world of that series.

After witnessing a battle between two characters, he returns home and is shocked when one of the characters comes back with him.

He soon discovers that other characters from other media have been brought over and aligned with a mysterious military uniform-clad princess.

Sota aims to gather these characters and send them back home.

With sketchbook always on hand, Midori Asakusa has a passion for drawing both the world around her and the world in her boundless imagination. In stark contrast, her best friend Sayaka Kanamori and her calculated approach to life keeps her grounded.

After a chance encounter with model Tsubame Misuzaki who has a passion for drawing fluid characters, Kanamori, sensing a money-making opportunity, suggests they start an animation club.

The five members of the Kaminoyama High School animation club all make a pledge to make their project for the school cultural festival a huge success, then afterwards move to Tokyo and work in the industry.

Fast forward two years in the future and two members have made their dream a reality, but making anime is no easy task.

Paprika and Cocona hold the keys to open the door where they can meet from their different times in a dimension called Pure Illusion.

In this dimension, they search for the Shard of Mimi which is said to grant any wish. However, finding it will not be easy.

Konoha Akisato is an illustrator that loves drawing cute anime girls and bishoujo games. While she works in the video game industry making bishoujo games as an assistant illustrator, her dream is to become famous for her bishoujo heroine designs.

Unfortunately, with her employer focused on cheap budget-bin bishoujo games, there is no way that is going to happen.

One day, after receiving some legendary bishoujo games at a mysterious shop, she opens the package and finds herself transported back to 1992 – right when the golden age of bishoujo games was about to begin.

Joining a company called Alcoholsoft, Konoha finally has the fresh start she needed to bring her a anime girl illustrations to life.
