Admiring Okami from afar is Ryoushi, a boy who can’t stand being looked at. After failing to confess to Okami, Ryoushi ends up inadvertently joining Otogi Bank. While Ryoushi hopes to win over Okami’s affections, she wants someone who will have her back in a fight, and Ryoushi can’t even stand being looked at, much less fight.

toradora anime

Toradora

Ryuuji Takasu is a gentle student with a passion for housework, but his thuggish face causes his fellow students to think him a delinquent. Taiga Aisaka is small and cute, but with an attitude as fierce as a tiger. Both of these misunderstood students also harbor feelings for their crushes, and after a series of misunderstandings of their own, they find themselves in an unlikely alliance to get their crushes to notice them.

There is only one problem, contrary to what the boys believe, Haruhi is actually a girl.

If you know nothing about Ouran High School Host Club, you are in for a glorious surprise. If you enjoyed how Okami-san progressed, this series turns that dial to eleven. It starts off very comical, but by the end of the series it is still funny, but there is so much more emotion involved in it. Furthermore, you also learn in both series that the comedy serves as a nice little mask for some of the deeper issues.

While the male main in Class President is a Maid isn’t quite as weak, everyone has their damages. However, in both series, you watch the main couples grow and support each other emotionally.
