Peter Grill is known throughout the land as the strongest fighter. He also has a girlfriend he is steadily getting closer with. Unfortunately, dozens of women have targeted him for his seed in order to bear strong children.
I can always appreciate an ecchi anime that has a certain degree of honesty in what it wants to be. Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time is definitely as honest as it is lewd.

For Fans of Having Actual Sex With Your Harem
Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World
After being perpetually bullied in school, Michio Kaga is browsing a suicide website when an ad catches his eye. This ad takes him to a site that seems to allow him to create a character for an MMO.
He messes around on the site with it’s roll-based luck element until he gets top-tier stats before clicking accept. However, this website suddenly transports him to a game-like fantasy land.
These series seem to think that the reason you watch fantasy anime is not to enjoy some fantasy adventures, but rather to see the main character have sex.
While it takes a few episodes for Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World to even add a girl to a party, each episode afterwards ends in the bedroom. This means there is less bedroom antics overall than Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time, but Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World has a plot it occasionally nods to.
Redo of Healer
As a boy, Keyaru awakened the power of a Hero. His specialty was healing. However, by using these powers, he experienced the trauma of the injured person as well. It eventually drove him insane, but he was forced to use his powers anyway.
After enduring torture and abuse by his fellow heroes for years, Keyaru formed a plan to get his vengeance. He was able to turn back time and restart his life with all his previous memories.
Thus his vengeance began.
Both series are about less-than-consensual sex with a harem full of girls. Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time has women forcing him while in Redo of Healer he forces the women through brainwashing magic.
These series are both for the chronically horny, but Redo of Healer is also for the chronically angry as it is quite violent with its action and features some brutal torture.
Interspecies Reviewers
There are many important questions in life – Which girl truly is best girl? What consists of the best fapping material? Are certain fetishes sexist?
To answer these questions and more, intrepid adventurers visit brothel after brothel to find the answers and provide their unbiased reviews.
Both of these series are specifically about having sex with fantasy creature women.
That’s the plot.
That’s the comedy.
And that’s why we love them?
For Fans of Cute Monster Girl Harems
Monster Musume
With his parents abroad, Kimihito Kurusu is living the quiet alone life. Or rather, he was until an incompetent interspecies exchange coordinator made him the caretakers of a Lamia named Miia.
With a supernatural creature now living in his house, it serves to not only break up his peace, but attract other supernatural beings as well.
Both series are about men who find themselves besieged with monster girls. While Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time actually ends up traveling and having various adventures, Monster Musume has the main character more contained to his own home that keeps also becoming a home to monster girls.
Although Monster Musume is an ecchi series, it isn’t as graphic as Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time is.
Monster Girl Doctor
In the town of Lindworm, monsters and humans coexist. Dr. Glenn, a human doctor, runs a clinic for monster girls with his lamia assistant. While monster girls present some unique challenges, he does his job with grace, confidence, and professionalism.
Both series take place in similar fantasy worlds where beast people and fantasy races are common.
Instead of focusing on adventure like Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time, Monster Girl Doctor has the main character being a doctor who also has the affection of very physically aggressive monster girls.
The harem is much smaller in Monster Girl Doctor, and it isn’t as graphic as an ecchi as you may want when coming in from watching Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time.
Rosario + Vampire
Due to his bad grades, Tsukune Aono was unable to get into any good high schools. However, at the last minute, he was accepted to Youkai Academy.
Unfortunately for him, it is a high school for werewolves, vampires, and other monsters.
With the help of a vampire and some other new girl friends that take a liking to him, Tsukune tries to hide his human status from his classmates.
Both series are about a main character that is just absolutely beloved by his monster girl harem. However, the girls in Rosario+Vampire aren’t as diversely designed. Mostly they just look like human girls.
The big difference here is that while Rosario +Vampire is lightly ecchi, it is more like a supernatural rom-com than the hardcore fantasy ecchi that Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time is.
For Fans of I Just Want to Sleep With Someone I Love and Not All These Other Thirsty Women
World’s End Harem
Reito, a medical student at the National Advanced Medical School in Tokyo, has contracted a rare and lethal disease. For treatment, he is put into cryogenic sleep for five years. When he wakes up, he learns that a worldwide pandemic broke out and exclusively infected and killed the other men on Earth.
Now, Reito and four other men are immune to the virus and tasked with mating with as many women as possible to save the species. However, Reito is only committed to his childhood friend and love interest, Elisa.
In Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time, they treat Peter like he is the last man on Earth while he tries to remain loyal to his girlfriend. In World’s End Harem, the main character is very close to being the last ones on Earth but still craves a single partner. This at least gives more validation to the extreme thirst on display in World’s End Harem.
Both shows are very lewd, very ecchi series, but while Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time is medieval adventure fantasy, World’s End Harem is a more sci-fi show.
Immoral Guild
Kikuru Madan is a monster hunter and has built up an impressive reputation in his guild. However, after receiving a notification that his old friend had gotten married, he realized he has wasted his youth without even getting a girlfriend.
Now he seeks to retire from monster hunting to find a girlfriend, but before he does, he must train a suitable successor.
Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time knows exactly what you want, and does just that. Immoral Guild is of a similar vein. This lewd ecchi show is all about female adventurers going out, getting molested by monsters, and getting saved.
These series also have the same ultimate goal – to be with a girlfriend. He just has to get one first in Immoral Guild.
While it doesn’t get as graphic as Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time, Immoral Guild gets more graphic than many other ecchi series.
Mr. Nobunaga’ Young Bride
Middle school teacher Nobunaga has always hoped a girl that loves him will appear before him. Unfortunately, when his wish comes true, it is a 14-year-old that claims to come from the Sengoku era and mistakes him for Nobunaga Oda.
Mr. Nobunaga’s Bride is suggestive, overly so at some moments, but not as ecchi as Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time. It is probably a good thing considering the very young age of the girls.
Regardless, both shows are about men who want a girlfriend to give their full attention to and end up with an extremely aggressive harem instead.
