Thanks to population decline, there are fewer humans left. Enter Mazama Jin, an animal hater who has enrolled in Seton Academy that is mostly anthropomorphic animal people. He immediately falls in love the Hino Hitomi, the only other human female in class. Unfortunately, as he tries to become closer with her, he gets pulled into the various shenanigans of his classmates.
It’s a big season for animal people, I guess. Regardless on your feelings about furries, this series has great comedy in every episode and if you are looking for more anime recommendations like Seton Academy, head on down below.

Nekopara
Kashou Minazuki is the son of Japanese bakers who has recently started working at the patisserie La Soleil. At home, he and his sister Shigure enjoy the company of their six catgirls. Two wily ones, Chocola and Vanilla, join Kashou helping at the bakery while the others stay home with Shigure. One day while Chocola is out running errands, she happens across a little green-haired kitten that she brings home. Now, the Minazuki household has seven energetic catgirls!
Nekopara was the other animal girl series of this season. However, while Seton has a large variety, Nekopara is only just cat girls. However, both shows are about these animal people integrating with human society.
Beastars
This is a world of anthropomorphic animals where carnivores and herbivores live side by side with each other. At Cherryton Academy, young wolf Legoshi is a member of the drama club. While he is often called menacing due to his appearance, he wouldn’t hurt a fly. When one herbivore classmate is killed and devoured, Legoshi finds himself as the primary suspect.
Fundamentally different in plot with Beastars being a more dark drama, if you are purely in it for the various level of furry, Beastars is for you. Both shows are about animal people showing off their animal instincts in various ways.
Rosario + Vampire
Due to his bad grades, Tsukune Aono was unable to get into any good high schools. However, at the last minute, he was accepted to Youkai Academy. Unfortunately for him, it is a high school for werewolves, vampires, and other monsters. With the help of a vampire and some other new girl friends that take a liking to him, Tsukune tries to hide his human status from his classmates.
While Seton Academy fully embraces animal girls, Rosario + Vampire is a bit different. The girls are a variety of supernatural creatures, but still look like cute girls. Despite this, they have much the same dynamic with the main character with him being a little kinder to them.
For Fans of Tsundere Males Versus Hyper Airheads
Aho Girl
Yoshiko Hanabatake is an idiot. So much so that even her own mother has given up hope on her. However, her studious and terrifying childhood friend A-kun is up to the task of shutting down her shenanigans at every turn.
Both series feature a male main character that seems to hate most of the girls that are constantly buzzing around him. The difference is that unlike Seton Academy, there is no particular girl he has a very obvious crush on in Aho Girl.
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Kyon had long given up on his belief in the supernatural until he meets Haruhi Suzumiya. Haruhi, a strange girl in her own right, is interested in all things supernatural, but laments the lack of intriguing clubs on campus. Kyon, however, inspires her to create her own club, and thus, the SOS Brigade is born. Unfortunately for Kyon, he is also roped into joining this new club dedicated to all things supernatural.
While Haruhi has more plot to it than just pure comedy, both shows feature a normal male main character that is consistently pulled into weird shenanigans by his not-so-normal peers. While Haruhi has some good comedy as well, Seton’s comedy per episode is better.
Konosuba
On his way back from buying a new game, Kazuma Satou died a pathetic death. However, he awakens before the Goddess Aqua who gives him two choices: go to heaven or reincarnate into an actual fantasy world. Naturally, the gamer picks the fantasy world. Now Kazuma must deal with defeating an evil demon king, useless party members, and paying living expenses.
While Konosuba is an isekai series, it is the same set up as Seton Academy. A normal human male is surrounded by the worst party members possible. All of them comically useless and annoying. It is different from the school life adventures in Seton Academy, but allowed more freedom in plot and a brilliant comedy.
For Fans of Shanghaied into Shenanigans
D-Frag
Kazama thinks he has what it takes to take over his high school with his gang, even if it is just his two friends in it. However, when his gang has a run in with the four unique girls of the Game Development Club, he is shanghaied in as a member himself.
Both Seton Academy and D-Frag tell the story of a guy that gets dragged into a club full of girls he doesn’t exactly like and one girl that he might. Both shows also seem to hint at romance, but instead just do really effective comedy.
Love, Chunibyou, and Other Delusions
Everyone has that stage in their life where they think themselves special, different from mere humans. This phenomenon is called Chunibyou Syndrome and most common in pre-pubescent children. In middle school, Yuuta Togashi thought himself the Dark Flame Master. He has since grown out of it upon entering high school and looks back at those cringe-worthy times with displeasure. Unfortunately, after a chance meeting with Rikka Takanashi, a girl believing to have a God in her eye, she attaches herself to him and brings that Chunibyou past back out.
Both series are about a guy that gets pulled into a club by a girl that he finds somewhat obnoxious. However, instead of following furries, Chunibyou follows cringe-worthy weebs.
Magical Sempai
Forced to join a club due to school requirements, one young man stumbles across the Magic Club and its sole member, Tejina. She manages to rope him into her club as part of her audience. Unfortunately, as she has massive stage fright, it doesn’t go very well.
In both anime series, a normal guy is constantly plagued by an airhead that has taken an interest in him. While they resist initially, the guy gets pulled into that airhead’s club and it leads to shenanigans through the rest of the series.
