Feared and respected by her subjects, Jahy was second-in-command of the demon realm. However, one day, a magical girl attacks and destroys the mystic gem, and with it, the demon realm. Flung into the human world, Jahy finds her powers greatly diminished, forcing her into a child’s form. While she can briefly return to her old form with a shard of the mystic gem, she now has to deal with real problems like paying rent and affording food all while trying to find the rest of the pieces of the shattered gem.

Anime Like The Great Jahy Won’t Be Defeated
For Fans of Supernatural Creatures Doing Human Things
The Devil is a Part-Timer
Just as he was on the cusp of conquering his world, Satan is thrown through a portal to Tokyo. Although he cannot use magic in this world, he is still motivated to conquer it, but first, he must get a job and pay his rent on time.
Essentially these have a very similar premise. A powerful demon is sent to Earth without powers, and the comedy comes from watching them toil in menial labor to pay rent.
Gabriel Dropout
After graduating high school in Heaven, angels are sent down to Earth to guide humans down a righteous path. Heaven had high hopes for Gabriel, the top of her class. However, when she descended, she ended up skipping classes and getting addicted to online games.
Both shows are cute girls doing cute things comedies surrounding otherworldly creatures. While Gabriel Dropout is more angels being shut-ins and less demons, Satania is quite wily much like Jahy.
I Couldn’t Become a Hero, So I Reluctantly Decide to Get a Job
Dreaming of becoming a hero, Raul joined the Hero Training program. Unfortunately, with the demon king defeated, there is no market for heroes. Instead, Raul gets a job at an electronics store. He soon finds out that his new co-worker is in fact the old demon king’s daughter.
Both shows are workplace comedies featuring demons. However, the demon in I Couldn’t Become a Hero is the side character rather than the main character that they are in Jahy.
For Fans of Living With Creatures
Dropkick on My Devil
The demon Jashin was summoned to Earth by an occult dabbler named Yurine. However, although Yurine successfully summoned her, she doesn’t know how to send her back. Now, Jashin ends up living with Yurine as her familiar. She knows the only way to go back now is to kill Yurine, but Jashin, incompetent as she is, can’t seem have any schemes go right.
Much of the comedy in Jahy is the titular character picking fights with the others, particularly her landlord. If you enjoyed that particular dynamic, Dropkick on My Devil built a plot around it.
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid
Miss Kobayashi is a programmer that lives alone in her apartment. However, one day a giant green dragons ends up on her doorstep and transforms into a women in a maid outfit. Apparently Kobayashi had gotten drunk one night and ended up saving this dragon. Now, dragon Tooru intends to repay her debt through housework.
Both series are plotless comedies about supernatural creatures popping up on a small scale in our world. They then blend and acclimatize to varying degrees. Both series essentially blend mundane human life with fantastic creatures.
Squid Girl
Terror of the seas Ika Musume has come out of the ocean to punish humanity for polluting her waters. With her ink-spitting skills and tentacles for hair, she is all set for invading Earth, but she didn’t count on two sisters bullying her into working at their seafood restaurant.
While not a demon like Jahy, Ika is a similarly cute and somewhat powerful creature that is out of her element. Without their powers, they fall prey to the humans around them. If you don’t need much plot, they are excellent comedies.
Ms. Vampire Who Lives in My Neighborhood
In Akari’s neighborhood, there are rumors of an ageless girl that only comes out at night and lives in a mansion in the forest. While seeking out this girl, Akari grows lost in the woods and is saved by the girl of rumor. It turns out the girl is a vampire named Sophie. She orders to blood online and avoids attacking humans. Akari is instantly charmed by her doll-like appearance.
Both series are cute girls doing cute things comedy that surround supernatural creatures. Jahy, however, does feel a bit more mature, if only for her bodacious demon form. Ms. Vampire Who Lives in My Neighborhood is strictly moe.
For Fans of Loss of Power
Endro
Every generation, a demon lord rises and a hero is born to challenge them. However, as the chosen hero and her party are fighting the demon lord, she casts a spell that sets them adrift in time. They are transported to before the demon lord has risen and the hero is still in school. With their memories erased, they begin their training anew. However, the demon lord has also been transported and enrolls herself in school.
Both series feature demons who have, for the most part, lost their powers. They then end up befriending humans and enemies alike. Endro, however, has a different setting, but the comedy is the same.
The Demon Girl Next Door
After a strange dream, Yuuko wakes up to discover that she has grown demon horns. Her mother informs her that they are descendants of a demon that was banished to live powerless by the magical girls of the Light Clan. Apparently, the only way to break the curse is to find a magical girl and murder her. While she happens upon a magical girl, her power is vastly superior to hers. The magical girl in question, Momo, takes pity on her and decides to train her in order to unlock her latent powers.
Both series follow demons in the human world who were put there by magical girls. What ultimately ties these two together is the sort of comedy where the demon tries to be tough, but is taken pity on by everyone around her.
