This anime is… Something. Appealing to a specific type of person, and not ashamed of that at all. If you were looking for more frequently ecchi fantasy adventuring anime like The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter, then head on down below.
Anime Like The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter
For Fans of Powered by Pleasure
Masou Gakuen HxH
Kizuna possess the Heart Hybrid Gear, but is not particularly strong. His older sister ends up dragging him to transfer to a special school, mainly inhabited by women, where he is trained to fight invaders.
While Masou Gakuen is a fantasy series of a different sort, both series are rather lewd school comedies, though hidden Dungeon wanders outside of school quite a bit.
Super HxEros
Earth was on the verge of disaster after aliens invaded and began to drain the sexual energy of Earth’s humans. However, heroes appeared that use H abilities fueled by erotic power in order to fight back. Retto and Kirara are childhood friends that, after rekindling their relationship, have both been drafted into the Super HxEros organization to save the world with their raging libidos.
Do you enjoy lewd ways to power up using childhood friends? Well, this is similar to Hidden Dungeon, but it near fully abandons any attempt at pretext. If ecchi comedy is your kind of comedy, it is a great show.
The Qwaser of Stigmata
After two sisters find a wounded man, they bring him back home. That very same night, a serial killer that has been prowling the area breaks into their home. They end up being saved by this man who reveals himself as a Qwaser, a person capable of controlling chemical elements by partaking in Soma, obtained through the breasts of women.
Both series weeble-wobble between being serious in their genre and having the most lewd things take place for comedy or power ups. It’s actually really quite fun to watch if ecchi doesn’t offend.
For Fans of Dungeon Crawling
Shachibato
Long ago a goddess descended to the land of Gatepia. With her, gates opened up around the world to dungeons rich with a mineral used in the world for energy. Following his father’s disappearance in one such dungeon, Minato is urged by his childhood friend Yutoria to become the president of his father’s treasure hunting company.
Both series are essentially series about characters doing dungeon crawling for fun and profit. However, Hidden Dungeon follows the more standard plot line whereas Shachibato is kind of more like a workplace comedy.
Is It Wrong to Try and Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?
In the fantasy city of Orario, there is a massive labyrinth underneath it. For brave adventurers, glory and fortune can be found within. However, in order to tackle the challenging monsters inside, adventurers join guilds of strong gods and goddesses. However, for newbie adventurer Bell Cranel, no good guild will have him, except for Hestia, a goddess with no followers. Together they team up to grow strong and find glory.
Both series are relatively upbeat fantasy series about weak main characters growing strong and exploring dungeons. However, while Is It Wrong to Try and Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon does have its moments, it isn’t quite the same sort of ecchi show.
Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash
Thrown into a fantasy land with no memories of their previous life, the strong among this new group of people bind together while the weak are left to fend for themselves. Grimgar tells the tale of the struggles of the weak as they pick up combat skills and fight the creatures of the world in order to earn a living.
While it shares a same fantasy setting, Grimgar takes a more serious tone to fantasy and highlights the struggle to grow strong before being able to conquer dungeons. In their way, both shows highlight a character growing in strength, but Grimgar deals with loss as well.
For Fans of Inherited Powers
My Hero Academia
After the sudden appearance of super powers, or “quirks,” now 80 percent of humanity has some kind of power. With some Quirk users turning to crime, it gave rise to super heroes that help the police keep the peace. Since he was a child, Izuku Midoriya has idolized super heroes, especially the symbol of peace, All Might, but he is devastated to learn that he won’t manifest a Quirk himself. Still, he studies super heroes and is determined to become one. After a chance encounter with All Might, Midoriya learns that there still may be a chance for him to be a hero after all.
While My Hero Academia is about super heroes rather than the standard fantasy, both feature rather useless main characters that really only have a talent for knowledge. However, when someone great enters their life suddenly, they are inherited their great power as well.
Akame ga Kill
Tatsumi is a naive boy from a rural village that makes the trip to the city in order to join the military and help his hometown. However, after he is rejected, he ends up joining Night Raid, a group of assassins part of a revolutionary movement to overthrow the government. From there, he must fight a brutal and increasingly bloody shadow war.
In both series you follow main characters with dreams that can’t do much. They then gain the power to do great things by inheriting it from another person that cannot use it. However, in Akame ga Kill the power is really just armor.
Charlotte
Yuu Otosaka has the ability to slip into other people’s mind and control them for five seconds at a time. He has been using it to get good grades, but after he is caught by the enigmatic Nao Tomori, he is forced to transfer to a special school to safeguard children with these powers from discovery. At this supernatural new school, he is forced to join the Student Council where he uses his powers to hunt down other young people who are using and abusing their own powers.
While not the same typical fantasy dungeon as Hidden Dungeon, Charlotte does follow a main character that has a special power and uses it for his gain. This also sees him put on an adventure of his own, though Charlotte is more angled towards the mysterious.
