Anime Like The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent

Sei, a young office worker, is summoned to a new world. However, the people who summoned her to banish dark magic from the world only meant to summon one person they would call Saint. Instead, they summoned two, and Sei discovers that they actually like the other girl better.

Not really caring about that, she ends up making potions at a research institute using her newfound magic. Unfortunately, while she is unexpectedly talented at her work and happy doing it, she begins to think that she is indeed the Saint.

Not every isekai needs to be an adventure, sometimes it can be just as fun watching a worn down woman find passion and fulfillment in her work. If you are looking for more anime recommendations like The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent, head on down below.

snow white with the red hair anime

Snow White With the Red Hair

Shirayuki is an herbalist that lives a normal life in the country of Tanbarun. However, when her beautiful red hair is noticed by the Prince Raji, he tries to make her his concubine.

She then decides to cut her hair and flees into the forest. It is there she is rescued by the second Prince of neighboring country, Wistalia, named Zen.

In order to repay her life debt to him, she sets her hopes on becoming the court herbalist in the capital of Clarines.

Both The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent and Snow White With the Red Hair are about women who just want to live their lives and enjoy their profession of being an herbalist/potion maker.

While The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent is an isekai, it isn’t all that different from the usual fantasy shoujo, which is what Snow White With The Red Hair is. Both feature strong-willed protagonists who have professional aspirations, aren’t looking for love, but find a fulfilling love anyway.

However, The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent explores Sei’s romance, then gets back to the adventure. Alternatively, Snow White With The Red Hair focuses on her profession for awhile, but becomes increasingly about romance as it goes on.

the apothecary diaries anime

The Apothecary Diaries

Learning to be an apothecary from her father, Maomao honed her skills in the brothels of her town. However, one day she is kidnapped and forced to work as a servant in the rear section of the Imperial Palace that houses the emperor’s consorts.

While trying to stay under the radar until her contract was up, Maomao catches the attention of the emperor’s favorite consort when her skills as an apothecary end up saving the life of the consorts’ baby daughter.

This act leads to her being taken on as the consort’s lady-in-waiting and food taster due to Maomao’s prolific knowledge of both medicine and poisons.

While the fictional China-inspired Imperial Palace setting in The Apothecary Diaries is much different from the fantasy isekai setting of The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent, The Apothecary Diaries provides a similar sort of experience.

The main character has a passion for helping people, a talent for brewing medicines or potions, and then proceeds to help people who then love her for it.

Like Sei, Maomao is presented as a mature and grounded protagonist who doesn’t have much interest in love, but is still quite lovable in their personality. Unlike Sei, Maomao actively pushes away any romantic interest, perhaps due to the fact that she honed her apothecary skills in a brothel as a child.

The main cast of Parallel World Pharmacy anime working in their shop

Parallel World Pharmacy

After dedicating himself to creating medicines as a pharmacist, Kani Yakutani works himself to death at the age of 31.

He awakens in the form of a ten-year-old boy that has been struck by lightning. He discovers that he is the son of a prestigious family as well the host to the guardian deity of medicine. This allows him to immediately diagnose illnesses in others.

While this is a miraculous ability, he discovers the state of medicine in this world is primitive and takes up his previous profession from his past life as a pharmacist once again.

Although the genders of the protagonists differ, both The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent and Parallel World Pharmacy are low action isekai where the main character is essentially a pharmacist in another world.

Both protagonists are given magnificent abilities in a fantasy world, and they use them to medically help people with magic and brewing potions. However, The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent becomes about her passion for potion-making, but is not limited to it. Parallel World Pharmacy is all about the main character using his medical knowledge and medicine-focused magic to help people.

As Parallel World Pharmacy follows a male main character and looks a bit like it would be one of those typical isekai harem anime affairs with minimal plot, fear not. Parallel World Pharmacy isn’t a harem anime and actually is quite serious about its medicine-focused plot.

i shall survive using potions anime

I Shall Survive Using Potions

While walking home from her office job, Kaoru Nagase is approached by a man dressed all in white who apologizes for a mistake that led to her early death. To make up for this mistake, he vows to let her reincarnate into another world.

Introducing her to Celestine, the goddess for her new world, the goddess reforms Kaoru’s body and grants her a few requests for her new life. Alongside now being a young woman again, Kaoru asks for a box with infinite storage space as well as the ability to make any potion she can think of.

Starting off her new life in a medieval world, Kaoru realizes that there isn’t much magic in the world, which causes her magnificent abilities to make her the frequent target of greedy nobles. However, using the cunning she honed from before her death, Kaoru does her best to help those that need helping and avoid becoming anyone’s tool.

While Sei only develops a passion for potion-making despite having magic that can do a variety of things, I Shall Survive Using Potions limits the main character to only being able to use her magic to make potions. Of course, her potions can pretty much do anything.

Perhaps the biggest similarity between The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent and I Shall Survive Using Potions is that the main characters were mature office ladies before ending up in another world. They keep that maturity, but Kaoru is a little more practical, so much so that she is kind of rude at times compared to Sei. Furthermore, I Shall Survive Using Potions is distinctly more of a lightly comedic slice of life adventure since Kaoru also actively pushes away potential romantic connections for various practical and shrewd reasons.

For Fans of Mature Female Protagonists

kakuriyo bed and breakfast for spirits anime

Kakuriyo – Bed and Breakfast for Spirits

Since she was a child, Aoi could see spirits. One day, while feeding a hungry spirit, she is whisked off to the hidden realm of spirits where an ogre states she will be his bride.

It seems her grandfather sold her off to marry him in order to satisfy his debt that he accrued at his inn in the spirit world. Instead, Aoi refuses and works off the debt owed in the bed and breakfast as an employee.

While The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent is your standard fantasy isekai, Kakuriyo is more of a supernatural sort of isekai-like anime where she is a normal human that went to the spirit world.

However, both shows are low action, low intensity slice of fantasy life or adventure anime with strong reverse harem vibes where the main character is presented as a mature woman rather than an easily love-addled girl.

While The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent has more of a straightforward and obvious main romance, Kakuriyo reveals the front runner in the reverse harem by the end. However, neither anime is really about romance either. Instead, most of both The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent and Kakuriyo are about the professional aspirations of the main characters as they live their life.

arte anime

Arte

16th century Florence is awash with cultural and creative contributions during the Renaissance. Arte is a young lady from an aristocratic family who wants to contribute to this unique time. However, after her father’s death, she is expected to marry rather than become an artist.

While she defies her family and looks for a mentor, she faces many obstacles in her path, one being that she is a woman.

While Arte is not an isekai or even a fantasy anime like The Saint’s Magic is Omnipotent, it does feature a likable and motivated female main character that has goals and dreams outside of the usual simple desire for romance and only romance.

In fact, Arte actively pushes its romance sub-plot out the window so she can focus on her professional goals, which is almost unheard of in shoujo anime.

If you like how down to earth Sei is without completely shutting herself off to her own desires – romantic, professional, or otherwise – then Arte is an excellent series to follow up with. It may be historically-set and focused on art, but Arte is still a shoujo about a nice, mature girl helping and being helped by people in her life.

ascendance of a bookworm anime

Ascendance of a Bookworm

Motosu Urano loves books. She recently got her librarian certification and was about to enter her dream job when an earthquake caused her to be crushed by her collection of books.

She is reincarnated into a new world as the five year old daughter of a soldier. Unfortunately, in this world, books are reserved for the elite nobility.

What do you do when your station in life does not afford you access to books? Make your own.

Both The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent and Ascendance of a Bookworm are female-led isekai anime where the main character pursues other interests aside from being an woman of destiny or some other such heroic role.

In Ascendance of a Bookworm, her passion that it explores is making books while it is potion-making in The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent. Two different professions, but two women who are very focused on their professional dreams.

While Ascendance of a Bookworm follows a very young main character, she luckily kept her knowledge as well as maturity from being an adult in her previous life. This leads to Myne still being a very mature female character like Sei despite being a very young character.

anime like the ancient magus bride

The Ancient Magus’ Bride

After being abandoned by her family, Chise Hatori is a 16-year-old teenager without hope.

In order to not have to worry about herself, she sells herself to slavers, only to be purchased by Magus Elias Ainsworth.

There, she is told she will become his apprentice and, in the future, his bride. Together, they work to build a relationship and work to control her own magus powers that will eventually result in her early death.

While not an isekai, The Ancient Magus’ Bride and The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent are both fantasy anime with a mature, but still quite typical shoujo heroine as a main character. What that means is that the main characters are very down to earth, but they will still help every single person they come across – which is usually what fuels the plot of both series.

If you like heroines that will help people even if it puts their personal safety at risk, but also have a blooming love affair that is present, but not the focus of the series, The Ancient Magus’ Bride is a detailed and mature fantasy anime even if it is not an isekai.

For Fans of Living a Soothing Fantasy Life

Rit and Red from the Banished from the hero's party anime walking down the street

Banished from the Hero’s Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside

Red was once the member of a hero’s party that sought to destroy the Demon Lord Taraxon. However, while Red was powerful at first, his companions soon eclipsed him, and thus, pushed him out of the party.

Hoping for a more laid-back life, he moves to the country with a dream to start an apothecary. He hopes to keep his past as an adventurer a secret, but that becomes increasingly more difficult when an adventurer named Rit from his past asks to move in with him.

Similar to how Sei shrugged her shoulders at not being the Saint, then got a job, Banish from the Hero’s Party is about an ex-hero who essentially does the same. He was pushed out of his party, so he decided to follow his personal dream and open an apothecary.

While both series are focused on the main characters often adventuring to further their potion making, they also both manifest romantic elements as well. However, the romantic element becomes much more of a focus in Banished From The Hero’s Party by the end while The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent enjoys a romantic sub-plot, but has other adventures to focus on outside of it.

Azusa from the 300 Slimes anime riding on a cart

I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level

Dying from overwork, Azusa Aizawa is allowed to reincarnate into a new world as a witch that will live forever.

Wanting to never be overworked again, she leisurely kills slimes in order to pay for living expenses. However, this meager amount of XP stacks over 300 years of doing it, and she finds herself at max level.

Fearing someone will try to thrust work upon her, she decides to try and hide her strength.

Both The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent and I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years follow female protagonists that were overworked office ladies in a previous life, but were sent to a new world where they are allowed to find and pursue their passions.

While both protagonists are super strong, they don’t pursue adventure, though Sei doesn’t actively avoid it either.

The biggest difference is that The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent follows a more traditional fantasy plot line while 300 Slimes is really more Cute Girls Doing Cute Things, but the “thing” is being a powerful witch that tries not to get pulled into adventure. As such, 300 Slimes is pretty low on plot and mostly is just cute girls living a pleasant life.

Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill anime

Campfire Cooking in Another World With my Absurd Skill

Alongside three other heroes, Mukouda Tsuyoshi was transported to a fantasy world to save a kingdom.

However, it becomes very apparent that he was summoned as a mistake when the only skill he has is to be able to open an interface to purchase food items from modern Japan.

Kicked out into the world, Tsuyoshi sets out into the world and his ability to make delicious dishes soon pays off. He attracted the attention of legendary wolf Fenrir who enjoyed the meal so much that he forms a pact with him to be his familiar.

Now employed as a merchant and adventurer, he travels and cooks to earn a living.

While both The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent and Campfire Cooking in Another World are isekai anime, they have two different focuses. The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent enjoys light adventure, romance, and helping people with potions while Campfire Cooking in Another World is a food anime about the main character cooking delicious things for his overpowered companions.

Both series are low action isekai anime because the main characters have low combat abilities or simply don’t want to go out and fight people. However, instead of flashy battles every second, they provide light-hearted adventures about the characters exploring what they are good at and enjoying their life in a new world.

While Campfire Cooking in Another World is more comedic and will for sure make you hungry each episode, it does still provide a pleasant and fun to watch isekai experience without being too focused on action.

For Fans of Romance With Reverse Harem Vibes

I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss royal romance anime

I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss

Being constantly ill, a girl passed her time in the hospital playing otome games. However, one day she wakes up in the world of the game she was playing. What’s more, she wakes up as Aileen Lauren Dautriche, the villainess of the game.

After childhood friend and crown prince Cedric publicly breaks up with her for the game’s protagonist, Aileen makes moves to avoid the tragic future that results in her death.

She decides to propose to Cedric’s half-brother, Demon King Claude who, if left alone, would transform into a dragon and off-handedly kill her in the game.

So begins her quest to tame him.

As it is about a likable, yet independent woman, The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent is often compared to a lot of villainess anime, despite not really having too much in common with villainess anime other than beautiful boys in abundance. However, what The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent shares with this particular villainess anime is a good balance of romance, reverse harem vibes, and actual non-romance plot points.

Like The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent, I’m Taming the Final Boss has a main character so likable that most men she meets clearly take up an interest in her even if it is not a romantic one. However, instead of dwelling in just being a reverse harem, both series have a firmly established main love interest and a romantic relationship that actually moves forward.

That said, neither The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent nor I’m Taming the Final Boss are only about romance. The romantic relationship is a bigger factor in the plot of I’m Taming the Final Boss, but the main character has plenty of other adventures outside of being wooed.

The Reason Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke's Mansion anime

Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion

After being pushed off a building to her death, office worker Rinko Hanasaki is reborn as Raeliana McMillan, a minor character in a novel she had once read.

While Raeliana is the eldest daughter of a nouveau-rich baron, Rinko knows that her new life isn’t exactly blessed. Having knowledge of Raeliana’s fate in the novel, she knows that her fiancee, Lord Francis Brooks, kills her to kick off the plot of the book for the actual heroine.

Determined not to die, Raeliana makes moves to break her engagement and save her life. This leads her to the mysterious Duke Noah Wynknight, the male love interest in the novel and general manipulator of politics among the nobility. She ends up blackmailing him, threatening to reveal his secrets, if he does not pretend to be her fiancee so she can break things off with Brooks.

However, while this saves her life for now, Raeliana’s relationship with the Duke grows more complicated by the day.

While both are female-led isekai anime, as Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion has the imminent threat of being murdered, it is often a more serious story compared to The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent.

However, both series don’t have the most straightforward plots to them. Usually the plot is whatever the main character ends up getting tangled up in at any one time. While The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent is more about pleasant adventures and occasional romance, Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion makes up for its occasionally slow-moving plot by having a bigger focus on romance.

The Hero looking on as the Demon Queen bows from the Maoyu anime

Maoyu – Archenemy and Hero

After fifteen years of warfare with the demon world, the Hero is unsatisfied with their advance and rushes forward to the Demon Queen’s Castle. There, he not only finds a beautiful woman that is the queen, but she needs his help.

To his surprise, she offers a way to not only help his country, but hers as well. Together, they join forces to make that dream a reality.

While Maoyu isn’t an isekai anime, it is a fantasy anime that provides a nice balance of actual plot and romance like The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent.

In both series, when it introduces the romantic element, you expect it to become about the romance, but neither series does become only about romance. Instead, the relationship is part of the plot, and the main characters are actively trying to do other things – like help people or nations.

If you like romance, but also like your fantasy romance anime to have actual plot outside of the love story, Maoyu is a must-watch.

bibliophile princess anime

Bibliophile Princess

Ever since she was a child, Elianna Bernstein has preferred the company of books to people. As such, when she is proposed to by Crown Prince Christopher, she believes that she is just a temporary fiancee to protect the royal family from the schemes of other noble families.

Yet, when Christopher appears to be getting closer to another girl, Elianna looks up from her books and realizes that she is not as indifferent to him as she thought. What’s more, Christopher was never anything other than in love with her either.

I think people see the beautiful blonde prince in Bibliophile Princess and immediately can only think of Albert. While they share similar looking love interests in common, both Bibliophile Princess and The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent are also shoujo fantasy anime about women using what they are good at to help people around them.

Like Sei uses her magic and potions to help people, Bibliophile Pricness is about the main character using her knowledge of history and culture that she cultivated through reading to solve political problems in the kingdom.

The big differences between the two are that Sei is less soft-spoken than Elianna, and Bibliophile Princess is much more focused on its romantic relationship than The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent.

sugar apple fairy tale anime

Sugar Apple Fairy Tale

Fairies once lived free alongside humanity until humans discovered that stripping a wing from a fairy means literally holding their life in your hands. Now, fairies are enslaved to humans.

Ann is a young girl aspiring to become a Silver Sugar Master like her late mother was. To further this goal, she sets out to the royal capital, and on this dangerous journey she purchases a warrior fairy named Challe Fen Challe to protect her.

As Ann believes in the freedom and equality of faeries, she buys him and offers to give his wing back when she reaches her destination. However, as they travel, their bond together grows.

While not an isekai, Sugar Apple Fairy Tale shares the same diligence to creating an interesting fantasy shoujo character that is more than just someone to fall in love with. Certainly, both series are about their main characters falling in love, but they are also characters who are slowly honing their passions throughout the series.

While each series has moments of action, neither are what you would call “action anime.” Instead, they focus on the more intriguing and adventurous stories in a fantasy world while building characters and having occasionally swoon-worthy romantic moments with a singular male love interest.
