Akame ga Kill
The power inherited by Tatsumi in Akame ga Kill is not so much a power but a powerful suit of armor. This suit of armor essentially specializes in adapting and evolving. The armor will gain new abilities based on what the user needs at the time.
The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter
Noir’s only ability is to be able to ask any question to a great sage in his mind, but he can’t use it without getting a big headache. Managing to lightly overcome that (with lewdness), he ends up in a dungeon where he meets a trapped adventurer. Since he can’t get her out, she gives him her immense power. You’d think it is great enough to just get her out then and there, but, well, then it’d be a pretty short series.
Attack on Titan
There only one major power in Attack on Titan, and that is to become a Titan Shifter. This allows a person to become a special type of titan, and only a handful of people can do it. All Titan Shifting is an inherited power, and not to spoil anything, the act of inheriting is pretty brutal.
Ushio and Tora
The power inherited isn’t a power, but rather a spear that houses a big beastly demon. Strictly speaking, it isn’t inherited so much as it is just taken. Regardless, Ushio is rather useless in the spiritual realm without Tora’s power.
My Hero Academia
This is perhaps the most notable series in this vein from recent memory. In My Hero Academia, Deku practically worships professional heroes, but unlike the majority of society, he wasn’t born with any kind of special quirk that would allow him to be one. His sheer determination to become a hero anyway eventually leads to him inheriting a quirk from All Might, something that no one thought possible. His new inherited power is essentially a power that grows stronger each time it has been passed down.
Bleach
While Bleach tends to wander off the path and gets lost in the weeds with its powers and power ups, let us not forget that it started with power inheritance. Ichigo’s only special ability at the time was to be able to see spirits. He couldn’t really do anything about Hollows until he got Rukia’s power.
Code Geass
I suppose the eye power given to Lelouch in Code Geass wasn’t so much inherited as given to. However, CC sure did pick a pretty interesting recipient since, being a banished prince, he already had some knowledge of politics and leadership. When you can make people obey with just eye contact, you are pretty unstoppable no matter what your station is in life.
Blood Blockade Battlefront
It is kind of ironic that Leo came to Hellsalem’s Lot in order to try and fix his sister, who couldn’t walk, only for her to offer herself up to go blind so her brother could have the all-seeing eye. Regardless, a random entity gave him an eye that could analyze almost anything. In true form for this particular circumstance, it took him awhile to even get used to it due to information overload.
Guilty Crown
At the start of the series, Shuu was just your average, kind of gloomy, school kid. However, circumstances find him gaining the void genome that was created by his father. This basically gives him the ability to pull the voids out of people and use it as a weapon. Of course, this makes him wanted by a terrorist organization and the government alike.
Jujutsu Kaisen
There are, now that I’ve gotten to this point, a lot of powers inherited by eating something from the person on this list. In Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuuji eats a cursed finger in order to gain power to save his friends from cursed beings. While fully expecting to die, it is discovered that he has the ability to withstanding ingesting these cursed fingers belonging to the demon Sukuna Ryoumen. In eating them, it also allows him to remove these corrupting, evil objects from the world.
Speed Grapher
Perhaps it was a power inside him all along and only woken up during the series, but regardless, it fits. In Speed Grapher, Saiga, a photographer, gains the ability to make things explode when photographed. He then makes use of it to unravel the organization that forced it upon him and help the girl that was forced to give and/or awaken it in him.
