POV, or point of view, anime series are a rather rare beast.
They are very much like virtual reality. They feature you seeing the world through the eyes of the protagonist and often interacting with other characters through their viewpoint.
There are many who don’t understand POV anime or why they exist. However, after the lockdown of 2020, there are certainly those who understand the appeal of POV anime series a little better when you are growing excessively lonely and disconnected.
Sometimes you will take any interaction you can get if lonely enough.

Best POV Anime
Makura no Danshi
This one is distinctly for the ladies.
Essentially, it is a nice boyfriend to talk to you while you wind down from the day.
Every episode is a different man, each of different standard anime boy type, to match any taste. As you can tell, the name does likely stem from the Dakimakura snuggle pillows.
Training With Hinako / Sleeping With Hinako / Bath Time with Hinako
I hope you like Hinako because you’re about to be doing everything with her.
The Hinako series is one of the more popular (infamous?) POV anime series out there. Wouldn’t it be ironic if you liked POV anime, but couldn’t actually stand Hinako as a person?
Anyway, each series is doing a different activity with Hinako. She will talk to you while you fall asleep, you can exercise together, and even have a bath time buddy.
Yes, the sleeping one was innocent enough, but they do seem to be getting lewder as they go on, I will admit.
One Room
If POV anime is something that interests you for non-kink reasons, One Room is likely the best anime you will find for it.
In One Room, you play a standard guy who is the main character in three different romance stories.
Essentially, you meet girls and help them with their issues. It has a little something for every niche that POV viewers seem to have.
Room Mate
Similar to One Room, made by the same creators, Room Mate just focuses on three guys instead. Essentially, it is a lady version whereas One Room is marketed more towards men.
Dogeza de Tanondemita
There are two sides to POV anime – wholesome and fetishistic. This is more on the fetish side.
Essentially, it has you as the main character groveling to women in order for them to take pity on you and show you their bits.
It’s definitely niche. It’s definitely a fetish.
Ani Tori EX
Similar to Training With Hinako, but without that darned Hinako, Ani Tore is about exercise.
The series is designed so that you exercise along with it. However, let’s just say it definitely knows what people are more likely watching it for.
Its gaze… lingers.
My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog
My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog is a hybrid POV anime in that sometimes you see a third-person view of the main character. However, the entire premise is that he is trapped in the body of a dog, and you see what he sees.
What he sees is usually uncomfortably lewd.
It isn’t uncomfortable in that it is creeping on girls and exposing the lewd angles only a dog is privileged to. It is creepy in that he is a dog doing some of these things and Inukai is way to into her dog. Uncomfortably interested in her dog.
I Want You to Make a Disgusted Face and Show Me Your Panties
Rounding out with this list a fetishistic POV anime whose whole premise fits right there in the title. Not… Much else to say about it, really.
