As a resident of an orphanage that raises soldiers, the causal announcement of the death of Sheena Totsuki’s roommate was little surprise. Children of the orphanage are sent off to battle everyday to die.
While most of the children are numb to it, Sheena is still deeply disturbed by the years-long conflict. She is also disturbed by the girl covered in blood she met the night her roommate died who smiled with glee, and now has apparently transferred into her class.
The new girl introduces herself as Mimi Kagari, the once thought mythical secret weapon of the orphanage who is rumored to be immortal.
